Who I Am: Hi! My name is Kelsea. I am 25 years old, certified by the Ontario College of Teachers and work as a high school math teacher from Sept-June. I have experience with care of children from a variety or ages and special considerations including children on the autism spectrum who require full 24/7 care. I have specialized in helping children on the spectrum gain life skills to help gain independence (teeth brushing, independent toileting) and providing families with the sometimes much time away while engaging their child in exciting and stimulating activities. I know some sign language ~50 signs and have experience teaching important signs to nonverbal children. I have experience with children aged from infancy up to teenage years. My education experience brings to the table a varied knowledge of child development and learning. Services Available: Summer part time care. I am comfortable with all standards of care including toileting/diapering and have extensive experience in proper and safe medication administration if this is applicable to your child. Cleaning up after myself and the children I support is included in my care. Additional tasks such as grocery shopping, dog walking, heavy household tasks can be added to my services for additional rates. Tutoring services available for an additional fee.
