ABOUT ME: Hello Family! Thank you for looking into my Profile. Though Im allowed 2000 characters, it's difficult to explain me in words - but I can say I'm pretty outgoing and life-enthusiastic, I'd be honored to be part of your team!! Though I'm only 21, I've always been mature and commited about the things I put my mind into; honesty and loyalty are my strongest values. When I was 13 my parents had twin boys so since then I've been in love with taking care of kids, even the not so nice parts as changing diapers - it gave me a great sense of responsability. I lived in Canada for the past two years (studying) and I love it, from the weather to the people, it's my favorite country; I also got my working visa so I'm available to star as soon as you need me to. Send me a message if you think we'd be a good match. UPDATE DUE TO THE COVID-19 SITUATION: I am currently doing an au pair job in Toronto (near High Park) and will be available in June. The family I've been working with is currently in (preventive) quarrantine and everyone in the house is healthy. MY PERSONALITY My friends would say I'm very easy going and an extrovert, I would argue that I'm more friendly and open minded. My parents educated me to be respectful of every living creature and to be perceptive of the world around me. In my free time I love to read (I have a huge bookshelve back home) and to be with friends. MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS: My mom is a lawyer and the best person to be around at any time. After my parents divorced she had twins and they are the cutest babies ever (even though they are already 8 now). I was 13 when there were born and even then I was very protective of them, wanting to participante at all times - including the not so cute parts like changing diapers. We now have two cats (since the boys and I have a soft spot for stray animals) that are not related in the slightlest but strangely could pass as twins (only diference is the eyes); which is ironic because the twins look nothing alike. MY EDUCATION: I finished high school in my home country (Brazil) but before that I spent 6 months in BC for an exchange program. I absolutely loved it, from the cold weather to the warm people; so after finishing high school I decided to come back to Canada for College. I was in Sheridan College for 4 semesters doing Chemical Engineering when I made the decision to stop the course (since I couldn't see myself doing that for a living). Now I'm looking to spend the next couple years working and making up my mind on what career path to choose. WHAT I DO IN MY FREE TIME: I love to read, whenever I have any free time I'm with my face shoved into a book. I also am a frequent at the gym, a healthy body and mind is top priority for me. On the weekends I enjoy the company of my friends and family, watching movies, eating out and such. MY EXPERIENCE WITH KIDS: Aside from always helping out with my brothers, I was frequently watching out the kids from the neighbouring apartments. My mothers didn't like me being alone after school (even after 15) so she'd tell me to offer my help taking care of the kids in the apartment. It became a habit and to me now is second nature to around kids and alert of them. MY LANGUAGE SKILLS: Being born in Brazil, my first language is portuguese. I also spent 6 years in a spanish school so even though it's rusty, I can manage a conversation. My english is fluent (all modesty aside) from spending the last 2 years listening and speaking in english 24/7. MY MOTIVATION: My goal in being an aupair is to help you have an easier schedule and slow down a bit. I love taking care of kids, so this is not simply a job to me, it is a mutual experience certain to be fantastic. As I mentioned I love Canada and would be lovely to continue to experience what it has to offer.
