My name is Mya MacKinnon. I am 26 and use They/Them pronouns (Female at birth) I currently work front desk at a local charity/daycare, but I miss the childcare work environment and would love to get back into it! I can pass a criminal background and vulnerable sector check as I have a squeaky-clean background. I am willing to learn First-Aid and CPR at a request. I have a college education in Visual arts and a passion for sharing that knowledge with the next generation. My work at kid's camps in my late teen's early twenties revolved around the art activities and decorating for each themed event. It was a bright spot in my working life. I am very forward about my past and current physical shortcomings. I use a wheelchair when leaving the house has a prospect of being on my feet for more than two hours at a time, and a cane every other time. It leaves me able to stay nimble and active at home and for a weekly big outing to the park or arcade or other attraction. I have been recovering and using a cane more and more often, in place of the wheelchair. I have a full license, though little experience with city driving, and I will not have a vehicle of my own. I am looking for a 25-35 hour a week position, so I can still have time to gain the better education to serve you and your family better, I hope we can speak soon!
