Nanny in Regina, Saskatchewan

Hey there, My name is Vaniah. I am 26 years old. I am a graduate from Blanche Macdonald's Fashion Marketing program and boy let me tell you, fashion school wasn't as simple as you may think. After working my butt off in school and work for a year I decided to take a break and travel across the states to visit family for a few months. In that time off I was constantly surrounded by my baby cousins and neices.I grew accustomed to constantly being tagged, or peed on, reading stories or being the host for tea parties. I must say, in that short time span spending one on one time with each of them really rekindled my nurturing instincts. At a very young age, growing up in Jamaica you aren't very fortunate to a lot of playful things, so as kids we had to be creative to have fun. My idea of fun was to teach my younger cousins. Id organize classrooms,exams, tutoring and even dance classes. Ever since then I have been known as the substitute mom for any newborn or child in my family. After a while my parents started and my other family members started noticing me teaching and I ended up getting my own little chalk board and room(office space) to host more kids. My family later on moved to Regina Saskatchewan! I know, I know... from Jamaica to Regina, thats crazy climate change! It wasn't the easiest move but after being there for a while I ended up finding this job accidentally as a YMCA before and after school program coordinator. I loved this job! I got to work with 10 children at a time, monitoring homework, reading to them, planning games and doing art projects.The rewarding feeling I get when I work with children is indescribable. I never wanted to go home and neither did the kids. I myself is a kid at heart and for me it really never gets old. Even though being a nanny is very different from fashion, I get excited doing either one. I have babysat and supervised children from 4months- 15 years old. I cook, I clean, help with homework and projects and CPR certified . I love to bake and I am the best at putting everyone to sleep Thank you so much for reading and I am excited to meet you soon:)
