Nanny in Calgary, Alberta

My name is Kathleen. E. Isaak, I'm 18 years-old and recently graduated from Dr E. P. Scarlett High School. I am taking a year off before attending Post Secondary and am looking for a full-time position in a fulfilling job with an employer who is willing to work around my dance schedule in the spring when I will be away for competition. I have a lot of diverse experience with children ranging from being a regular babysitter to being a camp counsellor. My experiences working with children started at the age of 11 when I received my babysitters certification. It then continued when I was in grade 7(Sept 2006-June 2007) Where I was a regular babysitter for 3 children aged 3-6. I also volunteered at the Calgary Public Library as a mentor and to help school aged children learn to work with computers. The following year I was a regular babysitter for 2 children aged 2-5. Starting the next year I only worked as a babysitter irregularly. In the fall of grade 11 (Sept 2010-June 2011) I volunteered at Kamp Kiwanis as a High School Outdoor School counsellor. Along with another High School student I looked after about a dozen grade 6 girls. That year I also worked at the Trico Center for Health and Wellness as a part-time childcare representative in the evenings. That summer I went to Kamp Kiwanis to complete their 20 day Leaders in Training program where I received my Standard First Aid certification as well as my Standard CPR Level C. I then followed that with their 8 day Kounsellors in Training program where I learned strategies for dealing with all kinds of children and I also shadowed full counsellors and helped to deal with their cabin. I then worked as a full counsellor for 6 days. This past summer I worked at Kamp Kiwanis as a full counsellor from June 23 till August 17. I worked with children aged 12-9, girls and boys. I looked after their health, administered first aid as necessary, taught them problem solving skills, ran kamp programs such as day hikes, canoeing and archery and entertained them in their downtime.
