Nanny in London, Ontario

Hi! My name is Katarina. I am fully vaccinated, have my CPR/First Aid, and have an updated criminal record check! Application: I am 23 years old and currently in teacher's college at Trent University since Sept 2023. I have a bachelor's degree from the University of Waterloo in Psychology. I have worked with children as a nanny, as an inclusion counselor (working in a 1:1 ratio with kids with special needs), in classrooms, as a tutor, and in a camp counselor setting. I am looking for a full-time nanny position in London from April-June and a part-time position in July-August. I have worked one on one and with groups of kids. I have experience with children with special needs (such as Autism, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, etc.) I can speak French at a basic level (DELF B1 certificate). I am willing to do light house-keeping, light meal prep and pet care. However, I do not have my driver's license but willing to go anywhere on the bus. Experience: I have worked in classrooms in Thames Valley and Durham Region. I spent time working with kids one-on-one in special needs and regular classrooms. I helped the students complete their work and explained concepts to them that they did not understand. I worked with ELL students and those learning the French language. I worked with kindergarteners and grades 1-6. I currently work at the Boys and Girls Club as an Inclusion counselor. I spend time with children with special needs at a 1:1 ratio and help them participate in camp activities. I also a volunteer for the Learning Disability Coalition and the Children's Aid Society in London. I help students who need extra help in literacy and math. I have experience teaching activities to help explain overarching concepts that are taught in school. I also have experience helping students with specific math/literacy questions. I have also worked in summer camps for the City of London. I supervised large groups of children and taught them different activities such as arts, crafts, sports and games. I worked with campers ages 4-13, and spent extra time with campers ages 4-6. In Waterloo, I have also been a occasional babysitter for a three-year-old and six-year-old for over a year now. One summer (April-August 2021), I was a nanny for a 12-month-old. I cleaned up after him, played and went on walks with him. In July/August, I was also a part-time nanny to a 6-month-old and a 10-month-old who engaged in Montessori play. I changed her diapers, fed her bottles and played with them.
