Nanny in Calgary, Alberta

I am 25 years old, married to my husband Nathan, and we have slowly been starting our life here in Calgary with our sweet pup Kenora! I am from Saskatchewan and moved here in 2017 to attend University where I also played for the Women's Volleyball team for three years. There I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Behavioural Science with a focus in Childhood Development! Although my experience accumulates to about 7 years through my babysitting years, jobs, and practicum placements, my primary experience has been in the last few years. During this time I have worked for two non-profit companies assisting children ages 3-6 years who have exceptional needs. These needs have included autism, ADHD, and various behavioural challenges. I recently have felt the burnout from working in schools and classrooms, and felt drawn to open myself up to families in their own home. I am hoping to find a loving family who is welcoming, wants some weight taken off of them in their day to day, and whose overall lifestyle and values align with mine! I have a recent Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector search and have received my Standard Child Care First Aid CPR B / AED training. I can cook, enjoy cleaning, and love connecting with new children and discovering the little personalities that they are! Every child I have worked with has brought something special to my life, and I believe that working closely with a family would be even greater. I would describe my demeanour with children as gentle and kind, and firm when needed, however never harsh or punishing. I aim to help children explore, learn, and feel safe while I am in their space, and hope to be a comforting support to them in every way. I would love to get a chance to meet you!
