My name is Cayden and I am an extremely trustworthy individual who has much experience working with children of all shapes and sizes. I am a 21-year-old, third-year Communications Studies major studying at Wilfrid Laurier University. Being a positive role model is something I hold dear to my heart and I hope that I can make an impact on the children I have had the pleasure to work with! For the past 4 years I have worked with the Town of Richmond Hill Parks and Recreation department as a camp counsellor (for 2 years) and a camp supervisor (for another 2 years). In my position of a summer camp supervisor I am responsible for developing and programming day-to-day activities for campers and staff. Other duties include supervision of children during camp hours, ensuring the safety and security of campers during field-trips and swimming activities and the integration of children with special needs. As a counsellor it was my responsibility to make sure campers are having a good experience at camp, that all campers are behaving in an appropriate and respective manner and also, ensuring the safety of all participants. Other than many babysitting ventures, I have additionally tutored a young boy with special needs in math and English. I would assist this young boy up to 5 times a week in completing homework while his mother was busy or at work.
