I have been certified as a Level 1 Early Childhood Educator since June 2010 and prior to that, I had 8 years of babysitting experience. Since becoming certified, I've worked in daycare centers, operated my own private dayhome, and have raised two children of my own. I have worked closely with children with delays in mental functions and believe that every child is unique and requires their own individualized tools and methods. I like to work closely with the parents to customize care to ensure all the needs of a child are being met. Open to full-time, part-time, and casual work. I take dietary and medical needs very seriously and a child's health and safety will always be top priority. I constantly teach every day safety in our day to day routines no matter how old or young. (ie why we must look both ways before crossing a road, why its important vehicles see us before we cross, stranger danger, keep secrets vs tell secrets, etc). Safety topics will be discussed with parents beforehand and incorporated into our routines with parental consent.
