Nanny in Mississauga, Ontario

Hi folks! Abbie here, and I'm looking for an inviting family who can benefit from my years of experience as a nanny as well as in other childcare roles. I have been everything from a babysitter, to a camp counsellor, to a live-in nanny and intend to make good use of all that I have learned along the way. I am available full-time or part-time as needed. I am also happy to be working in a live-in position or commuting from my home in Mississauga. I am more than happy to help with homework and planning extra curricular activities. I tend to come prepared with board games, crafts, and story books to make sure our days are full. I'm particularly interested in making table top role-playing games like Dungeons and Dragons more accessible to younger children; that being said, I understand that not all families are keen on D&D, and some children are just too young. I'm always thrilled to find other ways to activate the imagination and collaborate creatively with kids. I am prepared to do household chores as with past positions I've prepared meals, done the washing up, done laundry, etc. Unfortunately, I don't drive, but walking with children can be its own adventure. With a little planning ahead and a neighbour's phone number in case of emergencies, it shouldn't be a problem. Normally I'd add public transit as an option, but, for obvious reasons, that isn't an ideal solution at the moment. A quick word about COVID-19: this pandemic doesn't appear to be going anywhere soon so I hope your family (like mine) is taking all precautions necessary to stop the spread. I was lucky enough to have my first shot of the Pfizer vaccine and am waiting on my second shot at the end of July.
