Dear Sir/Ma'am, My name is Jovely Camero Manalo. I am 41 years old, married and blessed with a son. I currently tourist visa and if given a chance I am looking for an employer that is willing to sponsor me to be able to work in this wonderful country that everyone’s desire. I am a graduate of a bachelor’s degree in computer science from University of Baguio, Philippines. After completion of my course, after my first training as an apprentice in an IT company, I had worked as an office assistant in our local government which has given me the initial knowledge and experience for me to start a career in the United Arab of Emirates. While in the UAE, I was able to land a job in a contracting company as a payroll admin and have served the company for more than 14 years. Living and working in the UAE had led me to become accustomed to both Middle Eastern and Western culture. It gave me a lot of opportunities to improve myself both professionally and personally. I was able to try out different dishes from various restaurants and was able to learn to cook it. During holidays or day-off, I would try to make dishes and salads out of cookbooks and enjoy it with my family. When I became married and had a son, without any help, it taught me how to be more independent in organizing the house and caring for my family. It gave me practical training in time management. I had to make sure the house is clean at all times, organized, and was able to manage tasks such as laundry, ironing of clothes, cooking and buying groceries. As my son got older and needed less supervision, I enrolled myself in a Caregiver Course. Due to the market condition for contracting companies, this decision came at a perfect time, to be able to shift and start a new career in which I can apply my existing and new skills, and to provide a better future for my family. Over time, I have taught and developed myself through my willingness to learn. I don’t quit easily, rather I take it as a challenge or a way of improvement.
