As the second oldest of 15 grandchildren on my maternal side and as an awesome aunt (according to my nieces), I have experience with babysitting and caring for children as young as newborns to as mature as teens. I've been a basketball coach to youths ages 13 to 16 and have been a volunteer Big Sister with the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization. I'm comfortable dealing with and caring for children of all ages whether our time together includes diapers, cooking, creating, playing, studying, nap time, or anything else. Children, especially younger ones, can be unpredictable handfuls and my experiences has given me confidence in my adaptability, competence and responsibility.
