Dear Host Family, Hello, my name is Larissa Souza. I am from Brazil and I am 24 years old. I am very friendly, open mind, talkative, responsible, handful and hard work. I have two siblings back in Brazil, my sister, she is 31 and she has two kids, (my niece Mariana 5 and my nephew Mario 1). She lives in Brazil with her family. And my brother 22. My parents are divorced, I have a good relationship with my father. I used to live with my mother before I came to USA as an au pair. She is the most wonderful woman I ever meet. I miss her a lot but we skype and call each other. I came from a respectful and simple family. I was born in Minas Gerais, and when I turned 12 we moved to Sao Paulo. My city is Americana, lovely town, not so big with nice and clean parks. Since when I was 14 I wanted to have an international experience and I always loved kids. After my graduation, I decided to become an au pair. I didn’t know it was one of the best decisions on my life, I would say, it is not easy, but writing this letter I can look back and smile of all the experiences I had. My experience is large with kids, I took care of my niece every weekend since she was a new born. I used to do volunteer job with kids in a poor region of Sao Paulo. On my first year as an au pair I watched 3 kids (2,4 and 7) and now I watch 2 kids (2, 4). When I first came there were younger and all the routine of a toddler and kids I know. I also help with house duties and cooking. I think if I am leaving at your house I would be happy to help. After being an au pair for two years for sure I would say I am prepared to continue my work with kids and I really enjoy that. I am very patient and I have passion on my heart to see them learning every single day something new. They are so beautiful! I am very occupied with my host kids, I set play dates during the week, take them to the library, parks, restaurants, aquarium and when it is winter I do not have any problems driving I look for indoors places and we get energy out! I am a great cook, thanks for my host mom’s recipes. I always try to keep the kids on healthy meals. Every evening, when I go to bed I know no matter what I am doing, I did my best for my host kids and I tried to make smooth for my host parents coming from work. My hobbies are ride my bike, go shopping with my girlfriends, go out for a coffee, go grab something to eat at different restaurants, go to the park and spend the day. I would like to go to Canada as a caregiver because I think Canada is an open and a friendly country!
