Hi there, my name is Emma! I am a 22 year old who has hopes of being a wedding planner in the future. I am a part-time childcare worker who will happily provide reference(s) upon request. Experience: - 3 years of teaching/caregiving to kids of the age of 4-11. - 3 years working for a company called Kid Sing. - Experience with babysitting a child between the age of 8 months - 14 months. - Teaching, Classroom Management and Child Care (ages 4-11): 3 Years - Exhibit good leadership - I ensure that what I teach is taught in a way that kids at different ages and abilities can easily understand. - Provide a safe environment for the kids by showing good leadership, kindness, gentleness, positivity, creativity, patience, acceptance and care. (Following Covid-19 protocols is also included in their safe environment) - Make sure kids are fed and feeling good. - Encourage kids to be themselves and to be kind. - Take them on nature walks or to the playground. - Play games that are fun, engaging and good for their physical health. - Get the kids to tidy up and try to keep their things neat. - Make cleaning fun for them. - Give rewards for good behaviour/for trying their best. - Create bonds with each kid. - Make the day exciting, entertaining and welcoming. - Make, teach and help with crafts. - Cater to the needs of children. - Outdoor play time. - I am sure to engage in activities with them. - Maintain great communication and trusting relationships with their parents/guardians. - Worked with food and following dietary restrictions for 5 years. - 5 years of experience in cleaning - Volunteered at a church to provide meals to people and families in poverty. - Previously Volunteered with Halifax NS Down Syndrome Society: HNSDSS Certificates & Safety precautions: -CPR and First Aid . - I have up to date: criminal record check, Child Abuse Registry and Vulnerable Sector Check. About Me: During my free time I write poetry, I take photos of nature and the city, I practise pottery (currently in a pottery class which I love!), I workout, meditate, enjoy music and spend time with loved ones! My favourite colour is yellow because it's the happiest colour ever! Services Provided and Availability: - With my childcare services (AM, PM, Both or Overnight care), I also offer light cleaning, meal preparation and pet care. - I am available Monday through Friday all day - except Wednesdays I would need to leave by 5:30pm, as I teach a Musical theatre class to kiddos aged 4-11 at 6:30pm. - Available some weekends, but, I would need to know in advance!
