Nanny in Calgary, Alberta

Hello, my name is Joosje and I am from the Netherlands. I am an experienced dance teacher and nanny/ babysitter. I am currently looking for a full/part time, live out nanny position in Calgary to start in July/August 2023. I was an au pair six years ago and had a great experience. I took care of a family with 3 daughters aged 5-9. As an au pair I made sure the lunches for school were ready in the morning. I brought the kids to school and picked them up. I made sure dinner was ready, and brought them to their after school activities. I helped them with their homework from school and their Dutch homework from online school. I found it very important to be there for them when they needed a chat, hug or anything else. I also did several chores around the house. After working as an au pair, I came back to the Netherlands and started working as a dance teacher to kids aged 3-12. Working with kids has always been a big passion of mine. That’s why, after teaching dance for a year, I started to work at a daycare and ran the groups for kids aged 0-12. When I worked on the group with baby’s (aged 0-2) scheduling was most important. Bottles, food, naps, singing, dancing and fun were my main responsibilities. For the groups with older children I made sure the kids were able to play and have fun after a hard day at school. I would like to gain more experience in working with kids and helping families where I can. I completed a course in child and adult CPR. I am planning to complete an online course for coaching children while I work in Canada. Since I am from the Netherlands, I need a family that will provide me with a job offer before I can apply for the Young Professional Visa.
