Nanny in Halifax, Nova Scotia

I'm an
Individual
Being a full time nanny will allow me to apply my creativity and activity development skills to make sure every child's day-to-day experience is healthy, enjoyable, safe, educational and memorable. This opportunity would also allow me to us my experience as an undergraduate Teaching Assistant and science background to help your children with any homework/school projects. Moreover, I am very willing to help with any cleaning and cooking to ease any stress that is associated with being a Full-Time employee and parent. I have worked with kids for as long as I can remember in numerous different ways. Creating a safe, smooth and pleasant experience for children of all ages has become second nature during my work as a ski instructor for Snowhawks, as a lifeguard at Canadas Wonderland and as an educator at Ripleys Aquarium of Canada. At Ripleys for example, I taught guests of all ages about marine animals and conservation, ran tours for school groups, and managed customized birthday parties. I am currently working at the Canada Games Centre as an after-school program Team Lead. There I plan, develop and implement age-appropriate activities for children that promote a healthy and active life-style. Moreover, as a team lead it is also my responsibility to help the staff when issues arise with children, and to communicate those issues with parents. I am a firm believer that regardless of the situation every child involved should have a chance to speak their mind. My academic experience has also contributed significantly to my ability to become a helping hand to your family. A better understanding of individual and group behaviour, motivation and personal character preferences has led me to focus on delivering increasingly personalized experiences based on the individual needs of each child. Each child is different, so these skills are directly applicable to any child-care position. If you feel as if I would be a good match, and could become apart of your family please feel free to contact me!
