Hi there! I'm Roxanne. I’m happy you are taking the time to read this and get to know me a bit better. I’ve been working in the child care industry since 2012. I have been a live-in Nanny for just about two years now and love being of service here. My goal working with children is to provide them with an environment that makes them feel safe to be themselves, express who they are and develop into healthy beings. It is my passion to be able to be a mentor for them, show them how to be responsible, help them learn and also having some fun at the same time. What I’m looking for is a full-time or close to full-time childcare/housekeeping opportunity (preferably live-in) where I can put my creative and nurturing qualities to good use. I am a respectful, organized, trustworthy, open-minded and fun-loving person to be around. I have lots of practical work experience that makes me great for this position. Here is what I have to offer (skills and experience): - Provide opportunities for free indoor and outdoor play - Change diapers, prepare formula and bottle feed babies - Follow children’s nap and bedtime as instructed by their parents - Preparing nutritious snacks and meals for children/family (breakfast, lunch, dinner) - Bath and assist children with personal hygiene - Help children get dressed - Teach appropriate crafts, activities based on kids' interests, read stories with them, play games (age appropriate) - Experience working with children with disabilities (autism, hearing impaired, etc) - Laundry, dishes, emptying dishwasher - Do light housekeeping/tidying (while children are napping or at school) - Running some errands - Drive the kids to and from school/activies I grew up in a small French community south of Winnipeg MB, and moved to Penticton, BC this past January. I really love this area - and I am willing to relocate to your city/town if need be. I enjoy the outdoors, taking walks, music - I sing and play guitar/piano, yoga, anything related to personal growth, health & nutrition.
