Nanny in Calgary, Alberta

Hi! My name is Kaitlyn (she/her) and I'm 25 years old. I am a friendly, caring, enthusiastic, and responsible care provider hoping to connect with a fun and loving family. I've recently relocated to Calgary from Vancouver to pursue a Master in Counselling degree, and am currently situated in Canyon Meadows. I am interested in casual/part-time work. Here's a little about me! Through my undergraduate studies, I have explored areas including Early Childhood Development, Health Psychology, Social Psychology, Sociology, Gender Studies, Politics, and Family Studies. I have experience in childcare, working with children aged 4 - 16 through overnight summer camps and leadership opportunities throughout high school and university, as well as previous babysitting experience with younger infants, toddlers, and children. I began babysitting on-and-off at 13 years old, initially working with children 5 - 9. With age and experience, I transitioned to working with younger children and infants, which I very much enjoy. I have connected with families through Canadian Nanny previously, most recently working with a family from June 2021 to August 2022, caring for their 3 year old child. I have my Standard First Aid with CPR(C) and Emergency First Aid certification. Additionally, I have successfully completed the Bronze Cross Lifesaving certification course through the Lifesaving Society and have completed Red Cross babysitting courses. I also have my FOODSAFE certification. Back home (Toronto), I have two fluffy cats and an energetic labradoodle so I love pets and have no issues with them or maintaining light responsibilities for them. I speak English and am currently learning Spanish and American Sign Language - I am no where near fluent but have the basics down! I fully understand that childcare is an important decision and that finding that compatible nanny/babysitter is not something to be rushed or taken lightly!
