Nanny in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia

Hello there! I'm Katrine, I have many years of experience taking care of and raising children (we have 3 ourselves, and now also 2 grandchildren) and personal care of the elderly and challenged, including my mother and a number of clients in a professional capacity. I am willing to do either work, but would prefer children as a change of pace, though I am very flexible. Right now we still live outside of NS, but are planning to move there as soon or before our property sells, hence my search for employment. I am Canadian-born, but my husband is still German, so he cannot work in Canada until he gets his permanent residency. That said, he is quite willing to help out as a volunteer with whatever work I will do, perhaps as a bona fide grandpa or general assistant. We wish to work as a team if possible, we are fine-tuned to do so and have even done this professionally on occasion. Two for the price of one, if you will...Besides the above I also have a degree in culinary arts and can produce creative meals/baked goods depending on dietary needs and tastes, including allergy friendly food. Additionally, over the years I have acquired many practical skills which come in handy whenever a need arises. I have had CPR certifications in the past and am willing to acquire it again if necessary. Adult work experience includes dealing with Parkinson's disease, Demetia, G-tube feeding, wheelchair-bound persons, OCD and autism. I am a people person and get along with almost everyone, yet I can enforce rules and prodecure protocols as needed for the best of the individuals involved. In general I am looking forward to meeting new people and seeing new places and helping where I can. I would be available for employment starting this summer. My husband and I speak English and German fluently, and he has a TEFL certification, and we could teach either language if desired.
