Nanny in Calgary, Alberta

Hello! My name is Janene and I am looking for employment over the 2024 summer holidays. I will have graduated and become a certified AB teacher at the end of April 2024, but still want to work July and August to help pay off student loans. I have CPR, First Aid, as well as a Police Information Check (need this to work at schools). I truly enjoy looking after children, as well as teaching them and learning from them. I am able to plan both indoor and outdoor activities (educational and fun) and have a reliable vehicle if driving is required. I prefer being with the children, but am more than capable of cooking, laundry, and cleaning as necessary, or if kids are sleeping. I earned a BA in psychology from St. Mary's University in 2022. Previous to entering the psychology program, I obtained my educational assistant (EA) certificate and was an EA for five years. Additionally, I am a mother of an 19 year old and a step-mother to an 8 year old. I am also employed as a substitute lunch supervisor for the Calgary Board of Education (CBE) and can take shifts if my schedule allows. I worked as a nanny the last two summers and have looked after friends infants, toddlers and preschoolers at various times. My references are available upon request and you should be able to access a recommendation on my profile from one of the families I previously worked for.
