Hi there, my name is Kelsey! A little bit about me: I’m a twenty-nine year old female enrolled in the Faculty of Education, taking time off from my studies this year. I have extensive experience working with children of all ages and developmental levels, ranging from infants to teenagers. I follow a Reggio Emilia inspired approach to working with children. I believe I have just as much to learn from them as they do from me and my goal is to learn and grow together as I follow and expand their interests; creating a fun and educational environment. I have ten years of experience working with children. Some of my work experience includes: inclusion support work/floor staff in a daycare, team lead for a residential support company, long term nanny, as well as respite for both children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Additionally, I have had the opportunity to gain relevant volunteer experience in various roles which include: Winnipeg Children's Hospital, Fort Whyte forest school, and a classroom/teachers assistant. I have been a certified childcare assistant (CCA) since 2014 and have current CPR/first aid level c. I am currently enrolled in Circle of Security training which I will complete in early December.
