Nanny in Victoria, British Columbia

Hello! Im Amanda :)) I’m a warm, creative, experienced nanny with a passion for creating safer spaces for play, sharing, exploration, and care. In my downtime I like to explore nature and many mediums of art (mostly music, dance, and sewing) and In my work, I love to centre community care and helping others feel as seen and supported as I can. Working with kids makes me feel connected to the world around me as I watch their curiousity grow and help them to navigate new territory safely. I am a natural caretaker and it’s a privilege to be a pillar of support in a child’s life, even if the day to day of it is often chores and repeating yourself in new ways until it sticks. I find ways to laugh and play through the mundane and it’s a gift to see the world through the eyes of a child. I worked as a babysitter twice a week for my English teacher’s children (ages 4 and 6) all throughout highschool and I have more recent experience frequently taking care of my little cousins since they were babies and now the oldest is 8! It is such a gift to be a part of a child’s growth and help them to explore their interests while giving them the guidance, care, and nourishment they need to be supported in their growth. I am First Aid and CPR certified so I will always centre safety in my care and I have a reliable vehicle that I can use for child transportation as well.
