Fikile stood in as temporary foster mother at Baby Hope House (a home for abandoned babies) whilst Nanny was on leave for 2 months. The home flourished under her care as did the 6 babies. She implemented a feeding menu of a nutritious balanced diet, which was age appropriate. Our volunteer base, who help out with the babies, grew as Fikile is a wonderful communicator and made our volunteers feel appreciated for their time and help. Our babies were encouraged to meet their milestones eg tummy time and encouraging them to roll over. The little ones who are crawling were encouraged to stand and start scooting around the couches. Fikile has a special, gentle manner with the little ones and our babies loved her. She, along with a staff member, gave the babies massages after their bathes, which sooths them before bed time, giving the babies a good night sleep. Being the administrator, I oversee every aspect of the home and Fikile was so easy to work with. She has a gentle strength and will stand up for what is right. She interacted with visitors and donors in a kind, professional manner. I highly recommend Fikile as our babies thrived under her care and supervision.
