Hi, I'm Heidi! I relocated to Halifax from Oakville, Ontario 5 years ago. My education is in the Theatre Arts. While I worked in management for Bell Canada, I resigned my job in 2000 in order to raise our son and had the idea from watching his former daycare provider that I would really enjoy doing something similar. I have always felt a kinship with children. So, I opened my own doors in 2000 with one child, close to my son's age. My business quickly expanded and soon I was the proprietor of a lively and popular child care operation. My instinct was right. Five years ago we moved to Halifax and sadly I closed up shop and said goodbye to my long-term clients. Now after years of running a full-time business I am ready to scale back a little and work outside of the home on a part-time basis. I was a member of the Halton Child Care Providers Association and am CPR certified with excellent references. I can't wait to hear from you!

Heidi is the best of both worlds: an empathetic caregiver and a fun, interesting, I-want-to-be-friends-with-you adult. I can't tell you how many times we chatted by the door when picking up the kids rather than face driving home to make dinner! Finding someone you trust with your children is the one of the hardest decision you will ever have to make. With Heidi you are basically there with them. She raised my two pre-teen kids doing pickup before-and-after school, sometimes weekend visits, sometimes sleepovers. There was never a moment where I worried the kids the didn't feel like they were home. Highly recommended.
