Nanny in Esquimalt, British Columbia

ECE with infant-toddler specialisation, Child and Youth Care degree, first aid, Covid vaccinated, lots of experience with toddlers and children of all ages, reliable, accepting, supportive, ongoing training, many references. My toddler (Jan 2021 birthday) and I are looking for a new friend or two. Available weekdays before 2pm, or to pick up from Macaulay Elementary. About me ... I believe that even young children are very capable; good childcare is based on connection and support between the child(ren), parents, and caregiver; and children learn the most through daily interactions and exploration. I like spending time outside; reading, singing, and dancing; open-ended art activities; seeing the world through a young child's eyes; and building on their interests. We usually spend our mornings out in the community - at parks, drop-in programs, or the library. We also enjoy dance and swim lessons. My daughter and I are vegetarians, but other family members eat meat, so I'm okay with feeding your kids whatever works for your family. I'm a Mum to several grown children and one toddler, as well as a Girl Guide leader. I did LNR care while my older kids were growing up, worked with infants and toddlers in a centre for four years, and as a nanny since March. I live in Esquimalt and would prefer not to travel too far (we've been spoiled working within walking distance), but do have a vehicle. $25-28/hour or $16 per family if sharing time.
