Nanny in Osler, Saskatchewan

Dear Family, With this letter I would like to introduce myself to you. My name is Diana and I’m 36 years old. I recently moved to Canada with my family. I’m married and a mother of two children, a 6 year old boy and a 2 year old girl. In the past 16 years I’ve been working as a early childhood educator in the Netherlands and I like to continue doing so in Canada. My preference is to work with children in the ages of 9 weeks up to 8 years. Currently I’m not licensed. I’m in the process of credential recognition, which I hope to be completed in February/ March. I did a first aid course and have a police check. Every child has their own special way of being who they are. For example: a child of 9 weeks needs principally the basic care, but a child of 6 years learns to read and write. For me it’s very interesting to see how children develop, it’s a challenge to anticipate this. I like to see how they grow up and learn all the things in life. Children are full of fantasy, which I enjoy very much. They can imagine all kinds of things and involve you into their world. I also like the way they see the truth, I think we as adults can learn from their honesty sometimes. Another very important thing for me in my work with children is to know that a child is also a person, although small. Sometimes you have to reprimand a child’s behavior. It’s important to tell which behavior is not allowed without giving the idea they are “all” wrong. There should be an emphasis on praising the desired behavior. When you have to choose a family or a nanny, I think there has to be a fit between the family and the nanny. They have to trust each other and they need to be able talk openly discuss any issues that may come forward.. I hope you will agree that I am the type of competent candidate you are looking for.
