Nanny in Vaughan, Ontario

Hello! My name is Emily Ogram and I am an experienced nanny living in Vaughan Ontario. I have recently completed a Bachelor's Degree in Interpreting American Sign-Language-English and therefore am fluent in ASL! I originally started my educational career in Registered Nursing, where I completed two years, however I decided to make a change more aligned with my goals! I have experience working with children in many different settings. I completed multiple internships during my program where I focused on working with children at organizations such as Brownies, Silent Voice Saturday Day Program as well at after-school tutoring programs. Additionally, I have worked with multiple families as a nanny and/or babysitter and would be happy to provide references upon request. I also volunteered at organizations such Toys for Kids and at Bob Rumball Camp of the Deaf. I have a fun and outgoing personality which is why I have always enjoyed and worked well with children. I enjoy planning and doing activities that involve children's interests and learning new skills. One of my hobbies is crafting and I would love to be able to bring that to any position! While I am ultimately looking for a full-time career in interpreting, I am right now looking for a nanny position to gain more experience with children, and would love the opportunity to incorporate my knowledge in ASL (working with infants and toddlers, Deaf children or families, or any children who may be interested in learning!). However, I am flexible and open to any type of requests if we make a good match. I have previously received First Aid/CPR training (however, now expired), and I have a car and a valid G class license. Additionally I have an up-to-date Vulnerable Sectors Check.
