Hi! My preferred name is Astrid, and I have experience working with children as a summer camp counsellor in 2022 and 2023. • In 2022, I supervised children aged 5–12, organized activities, and cooked breakfast daily. • In 2023, I worked with children aged 4–13, leading activities, supervising water days in the shallow end of the pool, and overseeing meal/snack times and clean-up. Although I don’t currently hold a First Aid Certificate, I’m more than willing to obtain it upon request. I understand the importance of creating a safe and engaging environment for children. I enjoy working with kids because I love being part of their day—helping them explore, learn, and have fun. My camp counsellor experience taught me a lot about patience, creativity, and keeping children engaged, but I prefer the less chaotic and more personal experience of babysitting. Currently, I live in Brampton but I’m planning to move back to Toronto for work opportunities. I’m happy to commute in the meantime!
