Hello, families of Ottawa! My name is Katie, and I’m a full-time student at the University of Ottawa, originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia. I’m an experienced and nurturing nanny looking for the perfect family to care for. With over five years of childcare experience, I have worked with children of all ages, from newborns to 12-year-olds. I have a particular passion for working with infants and newborns, providing attentive and loving care, as well as engaging primary school-aged children in fun and educational activities. I’ve been babysitting casually since grade 7, and over the years, my love for working with kids has only grown. I spent four summers as a camp counselor, including my most recent role as a senior counselor, and I also worked for a year at an Active After School program, gaining valuable experience in a structured, daily environment. Throughout the years, I’ve cared for many families, and my past employers and families I’ve worked with would be happy to provide references on my abilities. I’m a creative and energetic person who loves arts and crafts, planning activities, exploring new places, and making each day an adventure. My goal is to help create a fun, memorable summer for the kids while supporting a family that could use an extra hand. I’m also happy to assist with housekeeping, meal preparation, and pet care.
