Hi there! My name is Ryanne, and caring for children has always been something I’m passionate about. From a young age, I’ve loved being a supportive, reliable presence in the lives of those around me, especially kids. As the oldest of five siblings, I naturally took on a caregiving role early on, and it’s something that has shaped who I am today. Whether it was helping with homework, preparing meals, playing games, or simply being there when they needed someone, I’ve always found joy in looking after others. I have several years of experience babysitting children of all ages, from infants to pre-teens. I’m currently studying Biology and Geography at Trent University, working toward my Honours Bachelor’s degree, with plans to attend teacher’s college in the future. I enjoy creating fun, age-appropriate activities and helping kids learn and grow in ways that feel exciting and natural to them. I’m big on patience, empathy, and building real connections with the kids I care for. I’ve also worked as a Personal Support Worker in long-term care, where I supported elderly residents with all aspects of daily care, feeding, changing, bathing, and more. While it may seem different from childcare, that experience really taught me how to be patient, gentle, and attentive. Most importantly, it helped me learn how to adapt to each individual’s needs, because no two people are the same, and the same goes for kids. I understand how important it is to meet children where they’re at and support them in a way that works best for them. I’m someone families can count on to be nurturing, responsible, and present. I don’t take the responsibility of caring for someone’s child lightly. I always do my best to create a space where kids feel happy, safe, and supported, and where parents can feel confident and at ease.
