Nanny in Banff, Alberta

I'm an
Individual
Hey there! My name is Bri :) I'm a 22 year old female looking for a job as a nanny. I currently reside in Ontario where I grew up with a large family, being the oldest of four children. I plan on moving to Banff and will be available for a job as early as Mid- January to February. I have been surrounded by children for my entire life; including the delegated babysitter for my family and the many other neighbourhood children from a very young age. I have a great background of knowing what children's necessities are and what is expected as a care provider. As each family is different with what activities they enjoy, I enjoy and take pride in anything that puts a smile on their faces. From swimming, and playing on play grounds, to helping them with homework and enforcing the importance of school. I am very flexible and love just about anything the children do. Graduating from Conestoga College, I am a licensed and Registered Practical Nurse. Safety is key and not only do I have extensive knowledge in first aid and what to do in an emergency, I have also taken many courses on the development of children; ranging from newborns to preteens. I have learned and succeeded in courses about children's needs, wants, developmental stages and the type of play stage the child may be in. In my current employment for the past several years I have been assisting deaf and blind clients with developmental disabilities. I assist clients with their personal care such as bathing and dressing, as well as include them in activities that can increase their development and engage them in the community. I love children and enjoy their company immensely and find nothing is more rewarding than taking care of them. I believe in creating a positive, happy environment for children, one in which they feel protected and can thrive. I have good organizational and communication skills, which I believe are among the most important skills for a nanny. I don’t mind doing extra duties for you, like cleaning and cooking dinner for the entire family. I work well with other people, thanks to my friendly and caring nature, and am sure I will make a good team member. I look forward to hearing from you with any other questions and concerns that may come up! Thank you! :)
