My educational background has prepared me for the role of this position. I have recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of Alberta, Augustana campus while playing for the Women's Basketball team. My educational experience has given me a deeper understanding of the importance of physical and mental health on individuals’ everyday functions, and the challenges that may come along with overall health and learning. Additionally, I was designated the role as captain the last two seasons as a Viking. This experience has given me a solid background in time management, teamwork, cooperation, compartmentalization, hard work, dedication, the importance of physical and mental wellness, and building relationships based on mutual respect. I am energetic person who is able to work independently and efficiently. These skills will assist me in this position. I am eager to contribute my enthusiasm and up-to-date skills to the organization. I have experience working with children planning and organizing a Summer Camp for the Camrose Association for Community Living, a specialized camp developed for children with developmental disabilities. I also have a lot of experience coaching young athletes throughout developmental programs to coaching on summer teams, assisting children in developing basketball skills, life skills and life knowledge. I am organized and work well with others and under pressure. My passion involves working with children to empower them to be more confident and build self-esteem, providing them with skills that will allow them to live the life they choose.
