Description: Hey my name is Elle, I'm a 4th year UBC student studying a combined major in science with specializations in chemistry, life sciences, and earth and ocean sciences. I am pursuing a career in medicine, with a specialization in paediatric oncology. I am the second oldest of 7 children, and have been nannying for my parents since I was 14, as my mother is enrolled at Harvard University full-time, and my father works full time as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. I am hoping to find a nannying job in Vancouver, and my availability is flexible. Description of Skills: I have my class-5 drivers license, therefore, I am happy to help with transport to and from extracurriculars, and school pick-up and drop-off. I was enrolled in etiquette training by my parents from a young age so I am very comfortable teaching manners, and disciplining in a stern but compassionate style, with an emphasis on learning and growing from mistakes. I have experience working with pets and infants. I am classically trained in piano through the Royal Conservatory of Music, and have two years of experience playing violin and trumpet. I frequently teach my siblings new musical pieces and would be happy to teach your children music theory I have 6 years previous experience nannying for my family of 7 children (6 girls 1 boy) and summer nannying experience for an energetic four-year-old. I have coached young athletes with autism for the past three years in multi-sport programs (gymnastics, soccer, baseball, basketball) and hockey, and would be happy to play and teach these sports to your children as well. I have also volunteered with terminally ill children at BC Children's Hospital for the last 4 years, so I have acquired strong communication skills when it comes to discussing more difficult topics with children. I am experienced with non-verbal children, and I am also bilingual in french and english and would be happy to teach children the basics of either language. I live a very healthy lifestyle and would bring a high degree of nutritional value, and cleanliness, to my meal preparation for your household. I would also implement frequent body breaks, and active outings for your children.
