Nanny in Fredericton, New Brunswick

I have worked with children for over 15 years in various roles, including nanny, autism tutor, EA, and, most recently, Elementary School Teacher. I hold an Early Childhood Education (ECE) certificate, a diploma in Disability Studies, a Bachelor's degree in Community Rehabilitation & Disability Studies, and a Bachelor of Education. My approach to working with children is a balancing act—embracing and following their lead through child-led activities while thoughtfully planning fun and engaging experiences, ensuring that every day is unique. I believe in embracing cozy, rainy days, where pajamas are worn all day and movies are watched inside blanket forts we've built. At the same time, I heavily value outdoor adventures, like afternoon playground picnics, followed by an ice cream treat on a warm summer day. I enjoy activities where children are trusted and encouraged to develop their independence, grow, and get messy—whether it’s cracking eggs while baking or helping to pour and stir ingredients while making lunch. At the same time, I believe that fostering independence also involves teaching age-appropriate responsibility and accountability, particularly through the importance of working together to clean up the messes we create—all while keeping it fun and positive! Since I work as a teacher/EA, I am only looking for a short-term, live-out position over summer break from June 30 to August 29. I look forward to hearing from you! :)
