Nanny in Toronto, Ontario

I'm an
Individual
This is a capitalist endeavour -- my time in exchange for care of your child(ren). As a parent, your return on investment is up to you. Spend what time you pay for away from your children wisely and you can earn back my wages. A few reminders: Babysitters, nannies, and childcare providers are not your friends, your lovers or your property. They are workers. Within the terms of contracted labour, you may ask workers to perform tasks which they are entitled to accept or decline at their discretion. These tasks must be LEGAL and non-threatening to the health and wellbeing of the worker. Your hire is a human being earning a wage. Your hire should not feel obligated to spend their earnings on you or your children. Your hire should not feel uncertainty if and when payment will be rendered for their service nor should there be any uncertainty as to the amount they have earned. How the worker spends their wages is their prerogative. What the worker does in their time away from work is their business. Ambition to achieve outside of this job is to be expected in multiple capacities. While you may wish to request a background check into the worker -- and you are certainly entitled to ask -- workers shall not be subject to stalking. You have no rights to read or in any way alter worker's personal emails, personal or professional communications, or government documents; enter worker's home; search worker's personal belongings without prior consent; or discuss worker's personal matters. This is a professional endeavour -- consider yourself President, Manager AND Human Resources and act accordingly. The living wage in the city of Toronto is $26/hour for full-time employment. This is the baseline wage at 40 hours/week that parents should expect to pay for the most rudimentary child supervision. If you are a RESPECTFUL employer capable of employing a worker ABOVE the national poverty line, please contact me through the Canadian Nanny messaging system. I may be interested in hearing from you. *** At this time we are not accepting offers from applicants with ties to South Africa or Israel ***
