Nanny in Ottawa, Ontario

Hi everyone! ☺️ My name is Kate and I’m an educational assistant in the Ottawa Catholic School Board. I will be available during the summer months (July and August) to provide child care! I’m looking for one part-time work, anywhere from 15-20 hours a week (weekday, daytime hours). Could be the same days every week, or a changing schedule! I have an advanced diploma in Child and Youth Care from Algonquin College and will be starting the Child and Youth Care Bachelor’s Degree program through Ryerson University in September. This is my second year working in the school board and I have had permanent status since September 2021. I have experience in child care in both casual and professional settings (babysitting, daycare on the Kingston army base, Movati gym daycare) and in educational settings (school board, private high school for students with behavioural and mental health needs, after-school program coordinator for a private elementary school in Kingston). I have experience working directly with children with: -ASD -ADHD/ADD -Mental Illness -Concurrent Disorders -Undiagnosed Behavioural Needs -Undiagnosed Mental Health Needs In addition to regular summer activities, I can also provide summer tutoring and educational activities to keep your child’s brain active on their break from school, if that’s something you’re interested in. If not, I’ll provide fun activities and adventures! I can do light cooking and cleaning if required.
