Looking for F/T live-out employment with a loving family.
After five years with my current nanny family, my contract will be coming to an end in late August/early September. They grow up so fast! My current employers have been very understanding about my transition to another contract, so I may be able to start earlier than late August.
I have many years of experience with babies & toddlers, and am willing to compromise in order to accommodate each families' individual needs.
I am originally from Niagara Falls, but have lived in Toronto since 2006, and am currently located in Parkdale. Almost all of that time has been spent as a nanny!
I am super-into any and all "grandma hobbies," such as cooking, baking, gardening, knitting, pottery...anything creative, really!
I have certified Red Cross CPR/First Aid training in Adult, Child, & Infant rescue. I am also familiar with the city, & all of the marvelous things it has to offer little ones (& I'm always thrilled to find new adventures!) I love taking my little charges to libraries, Early On drop-in centres, parks, swimming pools, farmer's markets, museums, & art galleries.
I believe in responsive parenting, forming secure attachments, as well as emotional validation and confidence-building.
The best part of my job is that I am lucky enough to see the world through the wonder of a child's eyes every day.

“Ingrid has been with our family for almost five years. She has helped two busy healthcare workers through a pandemic and beyond. I felt completely at ease leaving my baby in her care during a very strange and challenging time, especially as a new mother.
She consistently goes above and beyond the typical “nanny” expectations - taking initiative with planning fun outings and activities, teaching new skills such as baking, arts and crafts, face painting, seed propagation and gardening.
