Nanny in Calgary, Alberta

Hi! I’m Temi, I’m 24 and I am a proud nanny/childminder. I am looking to become an Au Pair in Canada for 12months-22months. ***IEC VISA I have been looking after children since I was 16-18 when I would look after family friends' children or my own younger brother (now 9) who lives with our dad, as soon as I was old enough. In 2019 I started working with a company called Korukids as a nanny, so I could start working with children and be a childcare provider whilst also at University. I loved studying, but I always looked forward to spending my holidays looking after my little brother and helping him grow, learn and explore new things! I finished my undergraduate degree in Sociology in 2020 with a 1st at the University of Northampton and have worked with children consistently through the pandemic since. I was a nanny for a family of 3 (4, 6, and 8) for a year and a half before leaving to begin working with children in a local primary school (4-12), providing wraparound care for working parents. I am currently a Nanny for 2 little girls (4 and 6) who I collect after school and I cook dinner for them, help them with their homework, and do any babysitting when the parents want to go out. I love working with children of all ages and working with the challenges and joys that children of all ages bring! I enjoy exploring and nurturing the ever-growing skills that they will learn as every day we aim towards even the smallest of victories whether it is in their school work, programming hobbies, or music and cooking. I have been working within SEN teaching since May 2022 and have been working in a special provision with 7-11 children with ASD, teaching their core curriculum and additional interventions such as building their social and emotional awareness, regulating their emotions and understanding complex emotions and speech and language therapy. I recently left my jobs in England and moved to Calgary in August. I am keen to work with a family in Calgary and look forward to hearing from potential families! (I have training in child safeguarding, peds first aid including CPR and allergy training)
