Mercia worked at Escola Concept as a teaching assistant. She had the opportunity to support kids at different ages and grade levels, connecting well with them. While I was a Kindergarten teacher, Mércia came in as a support assistant to promote games and interactions in the Portuguese language. More recently, when I became the Early Years Coordinator, she was dedicated to the Toddlers group (Group 2 and then Group 1). Mércia was always kind, welcoming, and playful. The kids felt comfortable with her and she got along very well with the team members. The lead teacher also spoke highly of her as a dedicated and proactive assistant. Her roles included organizing the classroom, assisting the lead teacher to prepare pedagogical proposals, welcoming children into the classroom, participating in circle time (songs, games, role-playing), caring for them (changing diapers/clothes, feeding, putting them to sleep), and promoting interactions among them. In my opinion, Mércia's strongest characteristics are hard-working, trustworthiness, and team player (respectfully collaborates with others wherever needed).
