Hi there. My name is Shannan. I am seeking a part time or full time job/work in babysitting or tutoring (math) for young children. I would be able to work any day of the week after 4:30pm and weekends anytime. A little about me: I currently work as a full time Integration Aide at an elementary school for Lester B. Pearson School Board. I graduated from Vanier College in Early Childhood Education in 2015. Some of my past job experiences include babysitting for a family of four children under the age of 10, day camp supervisor for a group of 6-7 year olds, lunch monitor for all grades, and daycare educator for a group of 2-4 year olds. I also have relevant work/volunteer experience. This includes 3 different daycare stages with different age groups, and an adaptive physical education class in high school. Some of my interests are travelling, skiing, hiking, arts and crafts, jewelry making, cake decorating and just being outside. General Work Experience Christmas Park Elementary School, Beaconsfield - September 2014 to Present I work as an Integration Aide for Lester B. Pearson School Board. I work with children who have learning disabilities, autism and behavioral problems. My job is to work as a team member with the teachers and resource team to help the children succeed in the school environment. I modify the workload for the children, provide them with help by explaining, demonstrating and giving examples, and I encourage them to become confident and independent in their school work. St. Edmunds Elementary School, Beaconsfield - October 2014 to 2015 I worked one hour a day as a lunch monitor. I was responsible for supervising the children's behaviour, ensuring their health and safety, and maintaining a calm respectful environment. Day Camp (The City of Beaconsfield), Beaconsfield - May 2014 to July 2014 I worked as a Day Camp Leader in a classroom with 24 children ages 6 to 7 years. I was responsible for planning a weekly schedule and developing activities for the children. I was also in charge of a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I had to deal with his behavioural outbursts while ensuring the safety of all the children in the classroom. Monchichi Daycare, Kirkland – June 2012 to August 2012 I acted as a substitute educator in a daycare with children ages 2-5 years. I was in charge of looking after groups of 8 to 12 children and for the children, I prepared learning and social activities, made them healthy snacks and lunches and closely monitored their health and safety over the course of their day. Babysitting, Vaudreuil – 2011 to 2012 I babysat for a family of 4 children who were all under the age of 10 years. I worked on art activities with the children, played games with them, and prepared healthy meals and snacks.
