Dear host family thank you for taking time to read my profile. Hope you're having a great day. I'd like to start this letter introducing myself; I'm Jazmin Farias, I'm 19 years old and I'm from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I come from a small family, my father past away when I was 10, so my family is composed by my Mom, my two sisters and myself. My mother is a strong and hardworking woman that goes ahead in spite of any obstacle. She has taught me and my sister's many ethical values. My sisters are Alondra and Natalia; Alondra is 24 years old and Natalia is 11 years old. My relationship with my sisters is very good, we are always in touch. I have a very close relationship with Natalia since I took care of her since my dad past away and my mother had to work more to support us. Being a caretaker for my little sister is one of the factors that encouraged me to apply to be an au pair. I really love children; my grandmother has over 20 grandchildren, so I have always been surrounded by them and I am one of the top old 5 so I always took care of the little ones. My first job with kids, was when I was 16 years old I did baby sitting about half a year for a child, he is son of a family friend. I took care of him during the weekends. We watched movies, played; I dressed him, fed him and in the afternoon took him with his mother. My second job caring for children was during summers courses in my hometown. My job was to take care of the logistics and help the children in whatever they needed for the courses; receiving and delivering the kids to their parents and preventing any possible accident. When I finished High school, my plan was to go as an au pair in a company that required my services with children who were not part of my family or friends. So I started taking courses on child care and working in a children's daycare. I worked for 2 months as an assistant for all the areas, my main activities depending on the age were: • Changing diapers • Teach them to use the toilet • Identifying colors, letters, and words • Teach them hygienic practices This has been the greatest experience I have ever had. I realize how important is taking care of a kid, I also learned many things about child care, and I feel that caring for kids is one of the most regarding activities, the more I work with them, the more I like it, embracing a child or watching them smile is one of the greatest things on earth. I know the importance and value that is to take care of a kid and I consider myself to be an honest and trustwothy girl and I will do my best to take care of your kid. I’m an open-minded, positive and adaptable person. I´m really independent and very patient, I like to be orgnized and I always try to do my best. My favorite hobbies are: Reading, spending time with my friends, running and going to the gym . I like to stay at home and watch movies or series. I love to cook and try out new recipes...especially cakes I am passionate about traveling and I am very excited to create new experiences. I believe a lot in the law of attraction and that's why I'm positive most of the time.. be good to receive good things! I want to apply as an au pair because I really enjoy spending time with kids. I started my plan to be an au pair more than a year ago when I was finishing my high school but decided to pause for a moment because I moved to another city far from my home town. I move to Puerto Vallarta and started working as a concierge in a 5 diamond resort called Hotel Mousai, currently is what I have been doing for the last 9 months. It is a very good job, I know foreigners daily from different parts of the world. I help a lot of people and I really liked. Thanks to this work I improve my English to 100 percent and grown a lot as a person. Now, I am ready to explore a new country, I love travelling and I have always been fascinated by foreign countries, living in another country and working with kids is the perfect job for me. The things that I like more about kids is talking with them...I'm always trying to motivate them to follow their dreams and goals no matter how small they are.
