Nanny in Crossfield, Alberta

As a live out nanny I am able to work in Crossfield. I am willing to work in Airdrie and surrounding areas, but would need transportation to and from work and access to a vehicle during the day. I will be bringing my daughters to work. The oldest attends grade 2 at Crossfield Elementary. The youngest will start playschool in January. Sundays and late evenings are negiotable! Since I was 12 I have watched babies and children of various ages in their homes and at church. After high school I have done practicums in elementary schools and worked as a substitute child care provider in child care centers. I have provided fulltime care and before and after school care, providing snacks, lunches, personal care and light house keeping. My psychology training has included a 7 month fulltime internship working with children with autism and learning disabilities. After my degree training, I have worked at a special school teaching basic skills to children with multiple disabilities (autism, epilepsy, behavioural issues, low functioning, communication difficulties). I have assisted the teacher in teaching these kids basic academics, social skills and self regulation in a 2:3 ratio, performing personal hygiene and house keeping as needed. Recently I have been a live out nanny for two families. The first included working with foster children with mental and intellectual difficulties, taking them to extracurricular activities and helping them learn self regulation. The second family had a preschooler and a dog and I have provided comprehensive house keeping duties on days that child care was not required.
