I am an experienced Irish Elementary teacher with a BC Certificate of Qualification. I’m a highly responsible, fun and creative person. My latest position was working as a full-time ELL teacher at a private school in Downtown Vancouver. I am available to tutor or mind children Monday - Friday, at client's homes nearby, or at my own address in Downtown Vancouver (V6B). I have a previous 6 years teaching experience, and 10 years child minding and tutoring experience, including light house work. My last position was working with mixed ages from Kindergarten up to Grade 12. I supported ELL students in a one-on-one or small group setting. I also worked with students who had Special Educational Needs 2-3 times weekly. Before that, I was a Special Needs teacher for a year and a Grade 2 teacher for three years. I also substituted for teachers in school during university. I am highly qualified to not only to care for your child, but also mentor and teach them. I have tutored mostly elementary-aged children on developing their numeracy and literacy skills. I have baby sat for as young as newborns. I have 10 years experience with this, as I worked as a part time child minder and tutor during high school, university, and throughout my teaching career. I pride myself on being a particularly well-humoured, collaborative and energetic person which has always helped me to develop and maintain a strong rapport with the children and families.
