Nanny in Vancouver
My name is Sophie and I am currently in my third year at the University of British Columbia, studying kinesiology. I have been working with kids since my first job as a ski instructor when I was 12. I have lots of experience with kids. In addition to babysitting, I also worked as a ski instructor for two years, teaching 2-4 year olds. I then worked with a children's choir in Toronto, first with children around 8-12 years old for half a year, and then with children around 6-8 years old for another two years. During the summer, I worked at Pedalheads day camp, where I supervised groups of up to six children and instructed them in bike riding. These jobs were so fulfilling because I was able to not only interact with kids, but also help them learn new skills that they can keep with them for the rest of their lives. I am certified in first aid/CPR, and currently volunteer at a community policing centre in Vancouver, which has my criminal record check and vulnerable sector search on file. As a university student, I am well qualified to help children with homework in all subjects, and can also help with music homework if needed. My native language is English, but I speak some French and Persian (Farsi), and would be willing to help with work in either of these. As a kinesiology student, I am also very active, and would love to do things with kids like going to the park, going for walks outside, or playing games and sports. As well, as a part of my university program, I have studied child and youth development. If you think I would be a good match for your family, send me a message.
