Other than basic babysitting I have worked at an overnight summer camp for the past 2 years through Girl Guides Canada. I have cared for groups of up to 23 children from 6-13. One of my summers with Girl Guides Canada was spent working one on one with children with disabilities. As the acting caregiver for these children my responsibilities included: -Managing dietary needs, medications, safety and individual needs of all campers -Organizing and running programs in ranges of activities, particular to the campers needs. -Assisting in the kitchen with preparing, serving and managing food. -Working 12-hour days. When working with children with disabilities my duties included the ones listed but also required catering to the specific needs and demands that the child had to feel comfortable and to function to the best of their ability.
