Nanny in Cumberland, British Columbia

Young Canadian girl who has a passion for child care, animals and the outdoors! In the last 7 years, I have been a nanny throughout the Ottawa Valley and along Canada's West Coast. After returning back to beautiful, British Columbia this summer, I chose the amazing town of Cumberland as my home. That being said, I am currently looking for full-time work in this lovely little community! I am extremely energetic, caring, honest, dedicated and creative. I have over 200 infant hours and am very comfortable with them. I have excellent housekeeping skills- covering everything from family meal-prep & cooking, to errands, & general cleaning across the whole household. I have my up-to-date CPR training; I have my bronze-med & bronze-cross training, and can easily obtain my criminal record check upon request. To further explain who I am and what I am looking for in an ideal position: I am very health-conscious and active outside. I strongly believe in the balance of physical activity, proper resting time, and a sustainable energy supply for the body. I truly believe that both, physical and social activity, is crucial to young minds. Whether it be biking, camping, canoeing, hiking, skiing or just plain puddle hunting on a rainy day: spending time doing some stimulating, imaginative, outdoor activities has wonderfully impacted all of the children & families that I have had the pleasure of working with. I hope to pass on my deep love and passion for the outdoors- rain, snow, & shine. For the social development side of things: I’m a big supporter for playgroups, if your neighbourhood doesn't have one before I start, it likely will after! My drive for activity relies heavily on the fuel I choose to consume. I want to give the rising generation a sustainable future by using a hands-on approach to teach kids how to grow, harvest, store, & prepare their own food. I would greatly appreciate an opportunity to do this by sharing some kitchen-time with the kids! Ideally, my position would operate on a Monday-Friday basis, but I am also flexible with my hours. :) I am usually happy & able to accommodate for any work that runs overtime or is scheduled outside of the regular time table, with a little bit of notice.
