for approximately 16 years I was a elementary school teacher and a chemistry professor at a university in my country. for all most 5 years I owned a home daycare which I had kids from 3-months to 12 years old. i though the kids through a Montessori program which started with the abc's, numbers, story time, circle time, games, Spanish class, etc. I would prepare them healthy meals, and snacks and with kids older than 5, I would help them with their homework
