Nanny in Calgary, Alberta

Starting at the age of 12 I started my own babysitting business and babysat for several families in the community that I had lived in Toronto. Some of the families had up to 4 children age's ranged from 1 to 10 yrs old. My duties included walking the children Back and forth to school, meals, homework help, library and park trips, and light cleaning. Spring 1994 I got an opportunity to work at "The Scarborough Boys and Girls Club" as a Daycare Assistant. In the mornings I worked with the "Mom and Tot" program Children mainly had special needs. Ages ranging from 2 yrs old and in the group there was up to 15 children. My duties included setting up and dismantling the jungle gym, setting up the play area's/ arts and crafts, planning weekly activities, preparing snacks and light cleaning. Afternoons I worked with school aged children ages ranging 6 to 11 yrs old. Duties included picking the children up from school, prepared after school snacks, planned weekly after school activities, homework help, supervised outdoor play and cleaning up the play areas. 1997 to April 2001 I was a nanny for multiple 4 yr old boys and an 11 yr old boy. My duties included getting the boys ready for school, make breakfast, get them to the school bus stop, pick them up after school, prepare snacks, homework help, laundry, cleaning and outdoor trips.
