Nanny Job in Brooklin, Ontario

We're a busy Brooklin family looking for someone to work 20-30 hours/week helping us maintain our home, preparing dinner, and picking up our children after school. Mom is an academic/researcher whose work often requires short trips to conduct research and attend conferences; she also teaches from time-to-time at the University of Toronto. Dad is the General Manager of a small company in Toronto and commutes (almost) daily to the city, but is typically home around 5:30 pm. We have two amazing children - a son age 7 and a daughter age 4.5. If you open your hearts and mind and take the time to listen, you'll be sure to learn a lot from these young, but wise souls! We're looking for somebody who enjoys cooking and maintaining a house (i.e., ALL housekeeping), and playing with children (because they will surely want to play with you!). The hours will predominantly be from late morning/noon through early evening (5-6 p.m. or so) unless Mom or Dad is travelling and an earlier morning or later evening may be required. Ultimately, our goal is to find someone who will love and support our family as much as we want to get to know and support you. At this point, we see this opportunity being a long-term position; we're not planning on going anywhere! There are currently a few fish in our house, but no other pets. Mom would one day like to get a dog, but that won't be any time soon. If this position is of interest, please contact us right away.
