Nanny in Ottawa

Bubbles, SMILES, jokes, GAMES, learning, PLAYING, crafts, MUSIC, and MORE! Those are just a few examples of what I love to bring along with me when working with children. My name is Deirdre and I love knowing that by just sharing my passion of working with children and educating them, I can make a difference in many lives around me. I am a recent graduate of a Concurrent Education program with a BA (Honours) in Integrated Studies and a Bachelor of Education with a teachable in Dramatic Arts. Having a background in education ensures that many of my care-taking techniques include elements of teaching in them. For example, enforcing proper manners, asking thought provoking questions, and encouraging an inquiry based and exploration driven environment. This is also a benefit for any family with school aged children who are in need of a little extra academic support during the school year. Don\'t get me wrong though, I am not always education and seriousness. Having a love of the arts too, I am the first one to volunteer to get my hands dirty when trying something new or just wanting to have a little fun. When it comes to bonding with children, I don\'t mind being a little goofy or dramatic, as long as I am meeting the needs of everyone around. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you can find what you are looking for in me! Can\'t wait to talk to you soon! Deirdre.
